Do you know Japanese music box?
However, even though it is called "a music box", it is a free-reed instrument.
It is not a instrument that makes a sound by plucking pieces of metal with tangents.
Shikōkin was made in Meiji period, and it was very popular instrument.
Many musics and songs were played by Shikōkin.
