In Japan, a wide variety of festivals are held throughout the year in various regions. Many of you have probably participated in the Bon Odori summer festivals. These festivals are always accompanied by music and musical instruments. For example, the instruments in the photo are used to play ancient folk songs at the Kokiriko Festival in Toyama.
